I was not a liquid lipstick person or I was barely even a lipstick person to be honest. I had makeup, but I wasn't interested. My interest for makeup developed a few years ago.
All I did for makeup earlier in the days was apply some face powder and use lipstick. I remember, if I felt a little fancy my sister would use the historic eye shadow palette probably my mum received in her dowry some 35 years ago. That broken down palette was applied all over the eyelid with that tiny sponge applicator that is non one uses. Then my sister would use the same lipstick on my cheeks as blusher which I feel was more appropriate for Halloween than a wedding. I had no concept of liner, mascara or even foundation for that matter.
Thanks to you tube, I was drawn towards this world of makeup and all these products. I started watching them out of sheer interest. This has become more like my makeup journey.
Anyways, I know I ramble. Now, coming to the point, I had no idea of liquid lipsticks.
The NYX soft matte lip creams were among the few that I tried. I absolutely love them, love would be an understatement because they are really high quality. I believe it is only 1.5 BD and they are comparable to some high end liquid lipsticks not only in color but in formula. If you are looking to try I would suggest these, they have a large range of shades and is extremely affordable.
They are highly pigmented, you don't need to layer it on. They dry down matte but don't dry the lips. My lips can't handle liquid lipsticks and dry out really badly. This doesn't bother me at all. They are creamy when applied and they don't settle in fine lines or dry lips. If you want to splurge or try something new, try these and thank me later.
