Hello fellas,
HAPPY EID! I know you all would agree with me when I say Eid was better back in the days. It is so depressing to watch kids just play on their mobiles all day. I mean, I don’t want to offend anyone but don't you feel Eid gets boring as we get older? Or is it that we just lack that excitement of it. I think it's the latter.
While I watched my nephew and nieces wake up and get dressed with that excitement and enthusiasm for eid. I reminisced about the good old days. Eid in Bahrain in the 90’s.

Eid was all about getting Eidi as far as I can remember. One of the perks of being the youngest were that I received all the eidi (which was later seized by our parents). Our neighbors used to have a mini store, where we would spend all that money. On eid, even the candies were equipped with toys, so we had plenty to play with. I and my brothers would count our money and compare our candies and figure out who wins. We had cousins visiting us and we would play carom board and luddo and what not. Those were the days.
Here is a compilation of the 90’s candies that I could gather.
Hope you have fun finding things you loved.
wish you a fun filled day,
LaLa

Choki choki :( I miss it now!!
